Payment Licences in Thailand: E-Money and Payment Facilitation

Under Thailand's Payment Systems Act B.E. 2560, issuing e-money (an e-wallet) and accepting electronic payments on behalf of merchants are regulated payment services. They need a licence or registration with the Bank of Thailand, held by a limited or public limited company. There are exemptions, such as accepting payments for your own business.
